About me

I am a Certified Independent Funeral Celebrant based in Bromsgrove, Worcestershire and a member of the Fellowship of Professional Celebrants, the principal organisation which provides training and professional support to independent celebrants in the UK, offering semi-religious and non-religious funeral services.

I live with my husband and two young children in Bromsgrove, Worcestershire. My career background is customer service based, and I have worked for an airline, a holiday company and a private hospital. Like many people, I have experienced pain and loss. Through this, I knew that being a celebrant was my calling and thus began my journey on the road to Celebrancy!

I trained with and qualified with the Fellowship of Professional Celebrants, the principal organisation which provides training and professional support to independent celebrants in the UK and I adhere to their Code of Ethics and Conduct.

My creative writing skills, presentation skills and my love of mixing with people from all walks of life were all put into action once more and I have found that my love of music and literature has also been very beneficial. Unfortunately, no-one warned me I needed to be able to sing…

The people I meet during the course of my work never fail to amaze me. I am constantly humbled by their stories and I feel so privileged to be let into their lives. I choose to do this work because I passionately believe that it matters how we say goodbye to our loved ones when they die. If I can play the smallest part in helping to turn a distressing event into a beautiful, meaningful memory, then my work is done.
